Khalil Gibran:

I AM FOREVER walking upon these shores,
Betwixt the sand and the foam,
The high tide will erase my foot-prints,
And the wind will blow away the foam.
But the sea and the shore will remain
Forever.

They say to me in their awakening, "You and the world you live in are but a grain of sand upon the infinite shore of an infinite sea."
And in my dream I say to them, "I am the infinite sea, and all worlds are but grains of sand upon my shore."

Only once have I been made mute. It was when a man asked me, "Who are you?"

Remembrance is a form of meeting.
Forgetfulness is a form of freedom.

You are blind and I am deaf and dumb, so let us touch hands and understand.

My loneliness was born when men praised my talkative faults and blamed my silent virtues.

When Life does not find a singer to sing her heart she produces a philosopher to speak her mind.

The voice of life in me cannot reach the ear of life in you; but let us talk that we may not feel lonely.

Only the dumb envy the talkative.

Though the wave of words is forever upon us, yet our depth is forever silent.

Now let us play hide and seek. Should you hide in my heart it would not be difficult to find you. But should you hide behind your own shell, then it would be useless for anyone to seek you.

A woman may veil her face with a smile.

How noble is the sad heart who would sing a joyous song with joyous hearts.

Should you really open your eyes and see, you would behold your image in all images.
And should you open your ears and listen, you would hear your own voice in all voices.

They dip their pens in our hearts and think they are inspired.

We are all prisoners but some of us are in cells with windows and some without.

When I get some leisure, I go through quotes of different people. I love to read about their thoughts. I collected many of these and later I lose most of them. :S

So now I am posting the quotes I have saved. I think it will be safe here. Moreover may be others will find interesting to read these too.

I have not organized this. I think, it is fine in this way. Some are extremely good. But I haven’t separated those because when you read, you will know which the best are. And of course we all got different taste.

More on Life

Life becomes useless and insipid when we have no longer either friends or enemies.

That’s the secret to life… replace one worry with another…

Having one child makes you a parent; having two makes you a referee.

Being yourself is being the person everyone else wants you to be.

Be of use, but don’t be used.

I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.

It’s good to be clever, but not to show it.

God is clever, but not dishonest.

Always forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.

Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.

Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.

The only real failure in life is the failure to try.

A man may fall many times, but he won’t be a failure until he says that someone pushed him.

Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up.

He who fails to plan, plans to fail.

Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat.

Diamond was just a coal that did well under pressure.

I love Coffee

Caffeine isn’t a drug, it’s a vitamin !!

My blood type is coffee.

Retirement is one great big giant coffee break.

On the eighth day God created coffee.

I make serious coffee - so strong it wakes up the neighbors !!!!!!!!

‘Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death and as sweet as love.’ Amen to that!

Coffee; you can sleep when you’re dead!

Get Cure

Always laugh when you can. It is cheaper than medicine…

Suicide is away of telling God, You can’t fire me I quit !!!!!

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present.

Adults are just kids with money.

We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyways.

A person who never makes mistakes never makes anything.

Never look back unless youre planning to go that way.

Half of the people in the world are below average.

Have the courage to live. Anyone can die.

Friendship &

If you love somebody, set them free. If they return, they were always yours. If they don’t, they never were.

Friendship often ends in love; but love in friendship - never.

guys are like stars, there are millions of them, but only one makes your dreams come true

Don’t live for the ones u can live with but live for the ones u can’t live with out!!

The definition of a beautiful woman is one who loves me.

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walk out.

If all my friends were to jump off a bridge, I wouldn’t jump with them, I’d be at the bottom to catch them.

My best friend is the someone who brings out the best of me.

No matter who broke your heart, or how long it takes to heal, you’ll never get through it without your friends

Nothing hurts more than realizing he meant everything to you, but you meant nothing to him.

It takes a couple seconds to say Hello, but forever to say Goodbye.

I don’t miss him, I miss who I thought he was.

Moving on is simple, it’s what you leave behind that makes it so difficult.

You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back.

True friends are very difficult to find, hard to leave, and impossible to forget.

How lucky I am to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.

Ending

There is a light at the end of every tunnel….just pray it’s not a train!.

Find something you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.

Misery is almost always the result of thinking.

There are three words I like to repeat to myself: glass half full. Just to remind myself to be grateful for everything I have.
